SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Herman W. "Hershey" Krueger of Johnsburg,
4who passed away on November 3, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Herman Krueger was born on October 11, 1925 in
6Chicago; his parents were Walter and Helen (nee Babczak)
7Krueger; he married Dolores Knasiak on October 19, 1946 in
8Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Herman Krueger served his country as a member of
10the United States Navy during World War II; during the war, he
11was stationed in the South Pacific on PT Boats 7 and 16; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Herman Krueger attended Washburn Trade School for
132 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Herman Krueger was employed with the Wrigley
15Chewing Gum Company in Chicago for 40 years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Herman Krueger was a member of the Bridgeport
17Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3079, the McHenry Veterans of
18Foreign Wars Post 4600, and the McHenry Moose Lodge 691; he was
19a 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 2428 and
20a 4th Degree Knight of the Arch Bishop Quincy Assembly; he was

1also a member of the St. John Baptist Catholic Church; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Herman Krueger was preceded in death by his
3parents and his wife, Dolores; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Herman Krueger is survived by his children, Dennis
5(Karen) Krueger, Kenneth (Ana) Krueger, Alan (Brian) Krueger,
6and Wayne Krueger; his grandchildren, Michelle Krueger, Brian
7(Lisa) Krueger, Jeff Krueger, and Christopher (Krissy)
8Krueger; his great-grandchildren, Jessie, Tyler, Chloe, and
9Rylan; his sisters, Sister Agusta Krueger, Helen (the late
10Frank) Lucas, and Lucille (the late Stanley) Lesniuski; and his
11sister-in-law, Dorothy (the late Mickey) Krueger; therefore,
12be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
15family and friends, mourn the passing of Herman W. "Hershey"
16Krueger; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Herman Krueger as an expression of
19our sympathy.
