SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of David K. Parker of Peoria, who passed away on September 3, 2013; and

WHEREAS, David Parker was born on March 4, 1949 in Sterling to Howard and Lillian "Liv" (nee Jacobs) Parker; he married Janet Barber on September 27, 1969 in Lombard; and

WHEREAS, David Parker worked in logistics at Caterpillar Incorporated for 36 years; he later worked for the Peoria Mobile Medic Ambulance Company, Advanced Medical Transport, and Wright and Salmon Mortuary; and

WHEREAS, David Parker was a member of American Legion Limestone Post 979 in Bartonville; he was an usher at the Corn Stock Theatre and loved to fish; and

WHEREAS, David Parker was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; his father; his uncles; and one great-grandchild; and

WHEREAS, David Parker is survived by his mother, Liv Parker; his children, Julie (Charlie) Jackson, Tim (Dorie) Parker, Monica (Dawn) Parker Frakes, and Nena (Steve) Clarke; his grandchildren, Eddie, Tim Jr., Rebecca, Jlynn, Kim (Justin), Kris, Kanon, and Kurtis; his 4 great-grandchildren; his step-grandson, James (Brandi) Jackson; his brothers, Don (Paulette) Parker and William (Lori) Parker; and his sister, Sharon (Ken) Halver; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of David K. Parker, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Parker as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
