SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald T. Morrison Jr., who passed away on May 20, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. was born on September 7, 1928, in Chicago; he was a former resident of Deerfield and lived in Green Oaks for the past 12 years; and

WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. served his country as a member of the United States Navy, having served in the Pacific Theatre on the USS Algol during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. served as a trial attorney at Morrison and Morrison in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. was a past president of the Lake County Bar Association; he was also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of numerous organizations, and a past Grand Knight of the Deerfield Knights of Columbus; and

WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine, and his grandson, Antonio "Tony" Borcia; and

WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. is survived by his wife, Danielle Morrison; his children, Joseph (Hon. Julie) Morrison, J.D., Sheila (Mel) Smith, J.D., Mary Ellen (Tom) Murphy, B.S.N., Kathleen (Hon. Ray) Collins, B.S.N., Eileen Morrison, M.D., Margaret (Jim, J.D.) Borcia, J.D., Frances C. Morrison, M.S., Donald (Ellen J.D.) Morrison, J.D., Denise Breyne (David Grace), and Mario L. Breyne; his 20 grandchildren, and his great-grandson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Donald T. Morrison Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Morrison Jr. as an expression of our sympathy.
