SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Donald T. Morrison Jr., who passed away
4on May 20, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. was born on September 7, 1928,
6in Chicago; he was a former resident of Deerfield and lived in
7Green Oaks for the past 12 years; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. served his country as a member
9of the United States Navy, having served in the Pacific Theatre
10on the USS Algol during the Korean War; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. served as a trial attorney at
12Morrison and Morrison in Waukegan; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. was a past president of the
14Lake County Bar Association; he was also a Fellow of the
15American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of numerous
16organizations, and a past Grand Knight of the Deerfield Knights
17of Columbus; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. was preceded in death by his
19first wife, Catherine, and his grandson, Antonio "Tony" Borcia;

1    WHEREAS, Donald Morrison Jr. is survived by his wife,
2Danielle Morrison; his children, Joseph (Hon. Julie) Morrison,
3J.D., Sheila (Mel) Smith, J.D., Mary Ellen (Tom) Murphy,
4B.S.N., Kathleen (Hon. Ray) Collins, B.S.N., Eileen Morrison,
5M.D., Margaret (Jim, J.D.) Borcia, J.D., Frances C. Morrison,
6M.S., Donald (Ellen J.D.) Morrison, J.D., Denise Breyne (David
7Grace), and Mario L. Breyne; his 20 grandchildren, and his
8great-grandson; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11his family and friends, the passing of Donald T. Morrison Jr.;
12and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Donald Morrison Jr. as an expression
15of our sympathy.
