SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marilyn D. Lesnak of Waukegan, who passed away on May 12, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Lesnak was born on April 11, 1942 in Chicago; her parents were Esther and Stanley Weisman; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Lesnak was employed with the Lake County States Attorney's Office and Waukegan East High School; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Lesnak enjoyed motorcycle trips with her husband, salmon fishing on Lake Michigan, volunteering at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, watching the Packers beat the Bears, and, most importantly, her relationship with her grandchildren; she also loved attending her grandchildren's swim meets, hockey, baseball, and soccer games; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Lesnak was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Lesnak is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ed; a daughter, Kim (Steve) Nerheim; a son, John (Carol) Lesnak; 4 grandchildren, Joseph and Peter Lesnak and Ellie and Steffen Nerheim; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Marilyn D. Lesnak; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marilyn Lesnak as an expression of our sympathy.
