SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eugene L. "Geno" Schuler of Harvard, who passed away on March 29, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler was born on September 27, 1945 in Elmhurst; his parents were Frank M. and Marie E. (nee Papenbrok) Schuler, Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler was employed with the United States Postal Service for many years and most recently worked as a maintenance worker for the Hebron School District; he was also employed as an umpire for the Fox Valley Umpire Association; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler enjoyed all sports, especially golf; he enjoyed Jeopardy and was known to be a walking encyclopedia; he was also an active leader and loved helping all kids; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler was preceded in death by his father; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler is survived by his mother; his brother, Tom Schuler, Sr.; his sister, Eileen (Larry) Guthrie; his aunt, Ann Haberstich; his 4 nephews; his niece; his 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; and his many cousins and close friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Eugene L. "Geno" Schuler; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eugene Schuler as an expression of our sympathy.
