SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eugene L. "Geno" Schuler of Harvard, who
4passed away on March 29, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler was born on September 27, 1945 in
6Elmhurst; his parents were Frank M. and Marie E. (nee
7Papenbrok) Schuler, Jr.; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler was employed with the United States
9Postal Service for many years and most recently worked as a
10maintenance worker for the Hebron School District; he was also
11employed as an umpire for the Fox Valley Umpire Association;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler enjoyed all sports, especially
14golf; he enjoyed Jeopardy and was known to be a walking
15encyclopedia; he was also an active leader and loved helping
16all kids; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler was preceded in death by his
18father; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Eugene Schuler is survived by his mother; his
20brother, Tom Schuler, Sr.; his sister, Eileen (Larry) Guthrie;

1his aunt, Ann Haberstich; his 4 nephews; his niece; his 10
2great-nieces and great-nephews; and his many cousins and close
3friends; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Eugene L. "Geno"
7Schuler; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Eugene Schuler as an expression of
10our sympathy.
