SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William E. Gahlberg, who passed away on December 31, 2012; and

WHEREAS, William Gahlberg was born on August 30, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, and grew up in Tucson, Arizona; he married Ursula Ann Gahlberg on December 29, 1955; and

WHEREAS, William Gahlberg was a graduate of the University of Arizona; after serving his country as a member of the United States Air Force, he and his wife raised their family in Tubac, Arizona before moving to Chicago, where he was involved in the development of real estate in the Oak Brook and Bolingbrook communities; and

WHEREAS, William Gahlberg is survived by his wife, Ursula Ann Gahlberg; his daughters, Elizabeth (Bill) Gladney and Susan (Mark) Hearne; his grandchildren, Kiley Talbott, Kate Stacy, Anna Gnau, Amelia Hearne, and Elise Hearne; and his great-grandchildren, Anna Kathryn Talbott, Charlotte Talbott, and Gus Gnau; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of William E. Gahlberg; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Gahlberg as an expression of our sympathy.
