SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eleanor Thompson, who passed away on August 4, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson was born on May 31, 1924, in Grayslake; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson was employed at Fansteel Metallurgical for 28 years until her retirement in 1986; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson was a member of Gurnee Community Church and the Elderberries, a senior women's group; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson enjoyed reading and watching movies; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Thompson, and her sisters, Margie and Jean; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Schmitt; her sons, Ken Thompson (Mitzi Bush) and Bob Thompson; her granddaughters, Jackie (Keith) Beaudoin, Leslie (Nathan) Fenton, Chelsea (Dan) Stanley, and Paige and Madison Thompson; her great-grandchildren, Katherine, Jack, Ellie, and Maddie Beaudoin, and Ketcher and Kooper Fenton; her brother, James Spink; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Eleanor Thompson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eleanor Thompson as an expression of our sympathy.
