SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eleanor Thompson, who passed away on
4August 4, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson was born on May 31, 1924, in
6Grayslake; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson was employed at Fansteel
8Metallurgical for 28 years until her retirement in 1986; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson was a member of Gurnee Community
10Church and the Elderberries, a senior women's group; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson enjoyed reading and watching
12movies; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson was preceded in death by her
14husband, Lloyd Thompson, and her sisters, Margie and Jean; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Eleanor Thompson is survived by her daughter,
16Marilyn Schmitt; her sons, Ken Thompson (Mitzi Bush) and Bob
17Thompson; her granddaughters, Jackie (Keith) Beaudoin, Leslie
18(Nathan) Fenton, Chelsea (Dan) Stanley, and Paige and Madison
19Thompson; her great-grandchildren, Katherine, Jack, Ellie, and

1Maddie Beaudoin, and Ketcher and Kooper Fenton; her brother,
2James Spink; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
5her family and friends, the passing of Eleanor Thompson; and be
6it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Eleanor Thompson as an expression of
9our sympathy.
