SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edith M. Bradford of Glen Carbon, who passed away on June 17, 2011; and

WHEREAS, She was born on October 18, 1922, in Emminence, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, She retired from the Army Mobility Command in St. Louis, Missouri, after years of dedicated service as a manager; she was a faithful member of City Temple Assembly of God Church in Granite City and the Assembly of God Church in Maryville; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus C. Bradford; her parents, Otis F. and Beulah G., nee Carr, Rose; and her brothers, Raymond and Dale Rose; and

WHEREAS, Edith Bradford is survived by her son, Glenn (Mela) Bradford; her grandchildren, Mark (Kerri) Bradford and Shannon Bradford; her brother, Edwin Rose; her sister, Ruby Nunley; and other extended family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Edith Bradford; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edith Bradford as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
