HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Marie Perez of Aurora, who passed away on June 21, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Marie Perez was born on March 5, 1922, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Mary and Mike Rogacs; she married Peter Perez; and

WHEREAS, Marie Perez was a veteran of the Women's Army Corp from 1944, to 1946; she served as a volunteer at the Holy Angels Food Pantry for 35 years; she was devoted to her Catholic faith, which along with her family, was extremely important to her; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; and

WHEREAS, Marie Perez was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Perez; her parents, Mary (Horvath) and Mike Rogacs; and her brothers, Joseph and Gaza Rogacs; and

WHEREAS, Marie Perez is survived by her children, Peter (Cindy) Perez, Michael (Jill) Perez, Patrick (Terrie) Perez, Marsha (Perez) (Stuart) Green, Paul (Kara) Perez, and Matthew (Traci) Perez; her grandchildren, Pete, Lisa, Ashley, Paige, Brian Michael, Stephan, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Paris, Anthony, and Andrea; her sister, Elizabeth (Gil) Leesburg; her brother, Louis (Josephine) Rogacs; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Marie Perez, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marie Perez as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
