HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are deeply saddened to learn of the death of
4Marie Perez of Aurora, who passed away on June 21, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marie Perez was born on March 5, 1922, in
6Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Mary and Mike Rogacs; she married
7Peter Perez; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marie Perez was a veteran of the Women's Army Corp
9from 1944, to 1946; she served as a volunteer at the Holy
10Angels Food Pantry for 35 years; she was devoted to her
11Catholic faith, which along with her family, was extremely
12important to her; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother,
13and friend; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Marie Perez was preceded in death by her husband,
15Peter Perez; her parents, Mary (Horvath) and Mike Rogacs; and
16her brothers, Joseph and Gaza Rogacs; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Marie Perez is survived by her children, Peter
18(Cindy) Perez, Michael (Jill) Perez, Patrick (Terrie) Perez,
19Marsha (Perez) (Stuart) Green, Paul (Kara) Perez, and Matthew
20(Traci) Perez; her grandchildren, Pete, Lisa, Ashley, Paige,
21Brian Michael, Stephan, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Paris, Anthony,

1and Andrea; her sister, Elizabeth (Gil) Leesburg; her brother,
2Louis (Josephine) Rogacs; and many nieces and nephews;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
5NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
6we mourn the passing of Marie Perez, and we extend our sincere
7condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
8her; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Marie Perez as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
