SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of M.H. "Monty" Pollner of New Boston, who passed away on February 17, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Monty Pollner was born to Elizabeth M. (Lang) and Carl L. Pollner in Chicago on January 8, 1928; he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; he married Nelda E. Gooding in Hampton on July 13, 1952; and

WHEREAS, Monty Pollner worked as a commercial artist in his younger years, and he retired as a printing salesman for Desaulniers and Co.; and

WHEREAS, Monty Pollner loved woodworking and fishing; and

WHEREAS, Monty Pollner was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nelda; his son, Tracy; and his brother, Henry "Hank" Pollner; and

WHEREAS, Monty Pollner is survived by his son, Randy (Janet) Pollner; his daughter, Heather (Gary) Reardon; his daughter-in-law, Paula Pollner; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jennifer, Spencer, Quinn, and Emily; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and his sister-in-law, Rosemary Pollner; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of M.H. "Monty" Pollner and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Monty Pollner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
