HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate John T. Frederick on the
4occasion of his retirement from The Boeing Company; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Frederick earned a Bachelor of Business
6Administration in Management, graduating cum laude, and a
7Master of Arts in Political Science from Wichita State
8University in addition to graduating from the Public Affairs
9Institute; and
 
10    WHEREAS, John Frederick began his career as a material
11buyer for the KC-135 programs at Boeing in 1988; and
 
12    WHEREAS, John Frederick joined Boeing's government affairs
13team working as the government affairs administrator in 1989;
14he was promoted to government relations manager and was then
15named director of state and local government operations in
162006; and
 
17    WHEREAS, John Frederick has also served as the director of
18state and local government operations for Boeing, representing
19the company at local and state levels of government in all
20legislative, administrative, and public agency matters; and

1    WHEREAS, John Frederick has been a leader in the business
2and aviation world, representing Boeing, one of the world's
3largest corporations, on the Board of Directors for the
4Illinois Manufacturers' Association, for Associated Industries
5of Missouri, and for the Leadership Council of Southwestern
6Illinois; and
 
7    WHEREAS, John Frederick is retiring from Boeing in 2024
8after 36 years of excellent service; and
 
9    WHEREAS, John Frederick and his wife, Cori, are the
10parents of two children, Sarah and Luke; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
12HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13we congratulate John T. Frederick on his retirement from The
14Boeing Company, and we wish him the best in all of his future
15endeavors; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to John Frederick as a symbol of our respect and
18appreciation.
