SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lester A. Interrante Sr. of Des Plaines, who passed away on July 17, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Lester Interrante Sr. was a member of the "Greatest Generation" who served in the Army in World War II at Normandy and throughout France; just last year he took the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to see the World War II Memorial; and

WHEREAS, Lester Interrante Sr. is buried at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Carl; and his brother, George; and

WHEREAS, Lester Interrante Sr. was the beloved husband of Mary for 67 years; he was the much loved father of Bette Ann (Caesar) Vitale, Mary (Sigfried) Hausner, Jackie Burns, Lester Jr. (Mary) Interrante, Patti (Razz) Jenkins, Gina (Brian) Watzke, Meg Harris, and Tim (Christine) Interrante; the loving grandfather of Lisa, Christopher, Andrew, Emily, Audrey, Eleanor, the late Danny, Matthew, Nicholas, Vanessa, Natalie, Cuyler, Monica, Ben, Cameron, Aannah, Ava, and Cal; the beloved brother of Lillian; and the great-grandfather of Max, Clark, Ralph, Piper, Vivien, Henry, Teddy, Quentin, Mark, and McKenna; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Lester Interrante Sr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lester Interrante as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
