SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Francis R. "Jim" Quigley of Joliet, who passed away on May 22, 2010; and

WHEREAS, He was retired from Material Service in Lockport, where he worked for 40 years; he was a World War II United States Army veteran, having served in the Aleutian Island campaign; and

WHEREAS, He was a Life Member of Cantigny Post 367, and one of the Founders of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Joliet; and

WHEREAS, Jim was a beloved and devoted husband and father; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Florence Quigley; his sisters, Berniece (late Ralph) Patterson, Virginia (late Edward) North, and Helen (late James) Townes; and

WHEREAS, Francis "Jim" Quigley is survived by his wife, Ann (nee, Dolinshek), with whom he would have celebrated his 64th wedding anniversary on May 25, 2010; his children, Dennis (Collette), Robert (Marie), and Brian (Maribeth); his grandchildren, Matthew Quigley, Jessica (Ken) Knezetic, Danielle Miles, Marikate (Jaime) Manzo, Staci (Bryan) Myers, and Christine (Kevin) Miller; his great-grandchildren, Faith, Joey, Stevie, Eli, and Carter; his sister, Margie (Mario) Borghesi; his brother, Michael Quigley; and his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Francis Quigley; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Francis Quigley as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
