SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Francis R. "Jim" Quigley of Joliet, who
4passed away on May 22, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was retired from Material Service in Lockport,
6where he worked for 40 years; he was a World War II United
7States Army veteran, having served in the Aleutian Island
8campaign; and
 
9    WHEREAS, He was a Life Member of Cantigny Post 367, and one
10of the Founders of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Joliet; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jim was a beloved and devoted husband and father;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond
14and Florence Quigley; his sisters, Berniece (late Ralph)
15Patterson, Virginia (late Edward) North, and Helen (late James)
16Townes; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Francis "Jim" Quigley is survived by his wife, Ann
18(nee, Dolinshek), with whom he would have celebrated his 64th
19wedding anniversary on May 25, 2010; his children, Dennis
20(Collette), Robert (Marie), and Brian (Maribeth); his

1grandchildren, Matthew Quigley, Jessica (Ken) Knezetic,
2Danielle Miles, Marikate (Jaime) Manzo, Staci (Bryan) Myers,
3and Christine (Kevin) Miller; his great-grandchildren, Faith,
4Joey, Stevie, Eli, and Carter; his sister, Margie (Mario)
5Borghesi; his brother, Michael Quigley; and his numerous
6nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9his family and friends, the passing of Francis Quigley; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Francis Quigley as a symbol of our
13sincere sympathy.
