HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate East Dundee Village Administrator Frank Koehler on the occasion of his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler, who began his tenure in East Dundee in 2007, has spent more than 35 years in local government; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler, while East Dundee Administrator, coordinated and oversaw daily village operations, represented the village in collective bargaining negotiations, worked to secure grants to improve the transportation infrastructure of his municipality, and spearheaded numerous community economic development initiatives; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler came to his current position with East Dundee after holding the positions of Village Administrator for the Village of Bourbonnais, Director of Community Development for the Village of Riverdale, Director of Economic Development for the Village of Romeoville, and Assistant Village Manager and Director of Community Development for the Village of University Park; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler also devoted his time to his community by taking part in numerous organizations such as the International City Management Association, the Illinois City Management Association, the Metro West Council of Governments, the Kankakee County Regional Planning Commission, the Kankakee County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Bradley-Bourbonnais Rotary Club, and the Carpentersville Rotary Club; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler began his career in municipal government in 1975 in his home state of Pennsylvania; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mr. Koehler on the occasion of his retirement and thank him for his 35 years of leadership in local government; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Frank Koehler as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
