HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate East Dundee
4Village Administrator Frank Koehler on the occasion of his
5retirement; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler, who began his tenure in East Dundee
7in 2007, has spent more than 35 years in local government; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler, while East Dundee Administrator,
9coordinated and oversaw daily village operations, represented
10the village in collective bargaining negotiations, worked to
11secure grants to improve the transportation infrastructure of
12his municipality, and spearheaded numerous community economic
13development initiatives; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler came to his current position with East
15Dundee after holding the positions of Village Administrator for
16the Village of Bourbonnais, Director of Community Development
17for the Village of Riverdale, Director of Economic Development
18for the Village of Romeoville, and Assistant Village Manager
19and Director of Community Development for the Village of
20University Park; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler also devoted his time to his community

1by taking part in numerous organizations such as the
2International City Management Association, the Illinois City
3Management Association, the Metro West Council of Governments,
4the Kankakee County Regional Planning Commission, the Kankakee
5County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Bradley-Bourbonnais
6Rotary Club, and the Carpentersville Rotary Club; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Mr. Koehler began his career in municipal
8government in 1975 in his home state of Pennsylvania;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
12congratulate Mr. Koehler on the occasion of his retirement and
13thank him for his 35 years of leadership in local government;
14and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to Mr. Frank Koehler as a symbol of our respect and
17esteem.
