SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

30 ILCS 500/20-165 new

Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. By July 1, 2010, requires each State agency to develop, and file with its chief procurement officer, a plan for the renegotiation of its procurement contracts. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning finance.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by adding Section 20-165 as follows:

(30 ILCS 500/20-165 new)

Sec. 20-165. Contract renegotiation plans. By July 1, 2010, each State agency subject to this Code must develop, and submit to its chief procurement officer, a plan for the renegotiation of each of its existing contracts for the procurement of goods or services.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
