SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Raymond W. "Pepsi" Schuessler of Troy, who passed away on January 12, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Schuessler was born on June 14, 1949 in Belleville; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Schuessler was a salesman for National Peace Officer Press in Troy; he was a United States Air Force veteran, a past alderman of the City of Troy, and a past police commissioner of Troy; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Schuessler was an honorary Illinois Sheriff Association Deputy and a Mason; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Schuessler was preceded in death by his father, William G. Schuessler, and his half-brother, Roland Kniser; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Schuessler is survived by his mother, Helen, nee Weaver, Schuessler; his stepsons, Robert McNeill Michael (Holly) McNeill, and Jeffrey (Gloria) McNeill; his stepdaughters, Annette (Kevin) Roach, and Lori McNeill; his godchild, Jamie Ray Schuessler; his brothers, William S. Schuessler and Russell E. (Judy "Sam") Schuessler; his sisters, Donna J. (Harry) Pelate and Gertie (Adolph) Kaufman; and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Raymond W. "Pepsi" Schuessler; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raymond Schuessler as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
