HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Ryan R. Murdock of Buffalo Prairie passed away at the young age of nineteen on May 21, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Murdock was born February 28, 1986, in Rock Island, the son of Randy and Joanne Verschoore Murdock; and

WHEREAS, He was a student at Southern Illinois University and a 2004 graduate of Rockridge High School, where he played basketball, baseball, and wrestled; he excelled on the baseball field and was a member of the Rockridge State Finalist baseball team; he earned all-conference honors and became as steady a player as the Rockets have ever had; he was also a member of the Rockridge Golf Team and had a hole-in-one on the 13th hole at Highland Springs, just like his Grandpa Tom; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Andalusia, and the Varsity Club at Rockridge; he enjoyed his cousins, farming, Ford trucks, hunting with his Dad and Grandpa, and he had a great love for the Boston Red Sox; and

WHEREAS, He had heart, determination, and compassion and was sincere, friendly, and dedicated to his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Luella Murdock, and grandfather, Thomas E. Verschoore; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Ryan Murdock is felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his parents, Randy and Joanne; his grandparents, Russell and Betty Murdock and Barb Verschoore; his aunts and uncles, Teresa Verschoore, Kay and Ron Gottrich, Tom and Chris Verschoore, and Maria Allison; his four nieces; and his many friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that even as his death is mourned, we give thanks for the blessing of Ryan Murdock's life and extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends, whose grief we share; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our sincerest condolences.
