HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, Ryan R. Murdock of Buffalo Prairie passed away at
3 the young age of nineteen on May 21, 2005; and
 
4     WHEREAS, Mr. Murdock was born February 28, 1986, in Rock
5 Island, the son of Randy and Joanne Verschoore Murdock; and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was a student at Southern Illinois University
7 and a 2004 graduate of Rockridge High School, where he played
8 basketball, baseball, and wrestled; he excelled on the baseball
9 field and was a member of the Rockridge State Finalist baseball
10 team; he earned all-conference honors and became as steady a
11 player as the Rockets have ever had; he was also a member of
12 the Rockridge Golf Team and had a hole-in-one on the 13th hole
13 at Highland Springs, just like his Grandpa Tom; and
 
14     WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church,
15 Andalusia, and the Varsity Club at Rockridge; he enjoyed his
16 cousins, farming, Ford trucks, hunting with his Dad and
17 Grandpa, and he had a great love for the Boston Red Sox; and
 
18     WHEREAS, He had heart, determination, and compassion and
19 was sincere, friendly, and dedicated to his family and friends;
20 and
 
21     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his grandmother,
22 Luella Murdock, and grandfather, Thomas E. Verschoore; and
 
23     WHEREAS, The passing of Ryan Murdock is felt by all who
24 knew and loved him, especially his parents, Randy and Joanne;
25 his grandparents, Russell and Betty Murdock and Barb
26 Verschoore; his aunts and uncles, Teresa Verschoore, Kay and
27 Ron Gottrich, Tom and Chris Verschoore, and Maria Allison; his
28 four nieces; and his many friends; therefore, be it

1     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3 even as his death is mourned, we give thanks for the blessing
4 of Ryan Murdock's life and extend our sincerest condolences to
5 his family and friends, whose grief we share; and be it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to
7 his family as an expression of our sincerest condolences.
