SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of David A. "Linc" Dietiker of Aurora on Sunday, May 16, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Dietiker was born on April 6, 1945, in Chicago to Irene (Deal) and Francis Dietiker; he married Katherine Kleckner on August 13, 1983; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of Annunciation Church, he was a graduate of Marmion Military Academy, and he attended Marquette University; and

WHEREAS, He was a successful businessman and part owner of Dietiker Brothers Distributing; he was very well-known in the community and acquired numerous friends through his business, youth sports, and the YMCA; he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and neighbors, and he enjoyed watching his daughters grow and mature through scholastics and sports; and

WHEREAS, The passing of David A. "Linc" Dietiker has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Katherine; his daughters, Kristin and Katie; his parents, Irene (Deal) and Francis Dietiker; his brother, Michael (Kathleen) Dietiker and their two children, Carrie and Stephanie; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Kleckner, Jan (Don) Osmer, Jeff (Sherry) Kleckner, Lynn (Dave) Fichtel, Tom Kleckner, Mary (Mark) Adams, and Dave Kleckner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of David A. "Linc" Dietiker, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David A. "Linc" Dietiker as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
