SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Virginia Pauline Redd of Godfrey on Saturday, March 27, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Stahl was born on August 28, 1921, in Rosedale to Walter and Louise (Isringhausen) Stahl; she married Frederick Redd Sr. in April of 1941 in Grafton; he preceded her in death in 1973; and

WHEREAS, Prior to her retirement in 1987, Mrs. Redd was employed for 25 years as a teacher at Beverly Farms Foundation; she was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Redd will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother; her passing has been deeply felt by many, especially her children and their spouses, Jane and William Phelps, Michael and Carol Redd, Mary and Michael Bell, and Frederick and Kim Redd; her grandchildren, Mark Phelps, Jennifer Phelps, Jacob Redd, Jessica Bendana and husband, Fred, Kathleen Redd, Nicholas Redd, Emily Redd, and Rozlyn Redd; and her many other family members and dear friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Virginia P. Redd, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Virginia P. Redd as an expression of our sincere condolences.
