 1        AN ACT making appropriations to the State Comptroller.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4                              ARTICLE 1

 5        Section 5.  The following amounts, or so  much  of  those
 6    amounts  as  may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated
 7    to  the  State  Board  of  Elections  for  its  ordinary  and
 8    contingent expenses as follows:

21        Section 10.  The following amounts, or so much  of  those
22    amounts  as  may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated
23    to  the  State  Board  of  Elections  for  grants  to   local
24    governments as follows:
25    For Reimbursement to Counties for increased
26        Compensation to Judges and other
27        Election Officials, as provided in
28        Public Acts 81-850, 81-1149, and 90-672.....  $1,364,100
29    For Payment of Lump Sum Awards to County
30        Clerks, County Recorders, and Chief Election Clerks as
31        Compensation for Additional Duties required
32        of such officials by consolidation of
33        elections law, as provided in Public Acts

 2    For Payment to Election Authorities for expenses
 3        in supplying voter registration tapes to the
 4        State Board of Elections pursuant to
 5        Public Act 85-958...........................      12,400

 7        Section   15.  In   addition   to   all   other   amounts
 8    appropriated  in fiscal year 2003, the amount of $50,000,000,
 9    or  so  much  of  that  amount  as  may  be   necessary,   is
10    appropriated  from  the  Help Illinois Vote Fund to the State
11    Board of Elections for the purposes provided in the  Election
12    Code for that Fund.

13                              ARTICLE 2

14        Section  5.  The  following  named  amounts,  or  so much
15    thereof as may be necessary, respectively,  for  the  objects
16    and  purposes  hereinafter  named,  are appropriated from the
17    General Revenue Fund to  meet  the  ordinary  and  contingent
18    expenses of the State Civil Service Commission:

20      For Employee Retirement Contributions
21       Paid by Employer ............................       11,500
22      For State Contributions to State
23       Employees' Retirement System ................       38,100
24      For State Contributions to

 2        Section 99. Effective Date. This Act takes effect on July
 3    1, 2003.
