SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of David L. Kuhn of Coal Valley, who passed away on November 19, 2023; and

WHEREAS, David Kuhn was born to Ralph A. and Mary R. (Rugh) Kuhn on January 1, 1950; he served in the U.S. Army; he married Marion L. Terpening in Galesburg in 1980; and

WHEREAS, David Kuhn was employed as a draftsman at John Deere; after retirement, he worked at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley; and

WHEREAS, David Kuhn enjoyed cars, riding his motorcycle, watching the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his cat; and

WHEREAS, David Kuhn was preceded in death by his wife, Marion; his parents; and his infant brother, Mark; and

WHEREAS, David Kuhn is survived by his stepdaughter, Deanne Engelbrecht; his grandson, Josh (Krystal) Engelbrecht; his sisters-in-law, Janet (Pete) Drummond and Marjorie Gray; his brothers-in-law, Ed Terpening, Roger (Darcey) Terpening, and Jerry (Kathy) Terpening; his aunt, Jackie Shattuck; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of David L. Kuhn and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Kuhn as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
