SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of David L. Kuhn of Coal Valley, who
4passed away on November 19, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Kuhn was born to Ralph A. and Mary R. (Rugh)
6Kuhn on January 1, 1950; he served in the U.S. Army; he married
7Marion L. Terpening in Galesburg in 1980; and
 
8    WHEREAS, David Kuhn was employed as a draftsman at John
9Deere; after retirement, he worked at Oakwood Country Club in
10Coal Valley; and
 
11    WHEREAS, David Kuhn enjoyed cars, riding his motorcycle,
12watching the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his
13cat; and
 
14    WHEREAS, David Kuhn was preceded in death by his wife,
15Marion; his parents; and his infant brother, Mark; and
 
16    WHEREAS, David Kuhn is survived by his stepdaughter,
17Deanne Engelbrecht; his grandson, Josh (Krystal) Engelbrecht;
18his sisters-in-law, Janet (Pete) Drummond and Marjorie Gray;
19his brothers-in-law, Ed Terpening, Roger (Darcey) Terpening,
20and Jerry (Kathy) Terpening; his aunt, Jackie Shattuck; and

1numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4David L. Kuhn and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of David Kuhn as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
