SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of JoAnne E. Romano of Des Plaines, who passed away on October 23, 2023; and

WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was born on November 5, 1933; and

WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano played a big part in the success of Romano's Restaurant in Des Plaines for over 40 years; and

WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was the wife of the late Paul A. Romano for 63 years and the mother of Thomas Michael, Cheryl Lynn, and Paul Anthony (Sandra Lynn) Jr.; and

WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was the grandmother of Stephanie Marie, Stacy (Jeremy) Lynn, Oscar Anthony, Nikki Sofia, Nicholas Paul, and Alyssa (Nicholas) Susan; and

WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was the great-grandmother of Finley Lynn and Russell Paul; and

WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was the sister of the late Thomas (Geraldine) and the late Merle (Myrle); therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of JoAnne E. Romano and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of JoAnne Romano as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
