Biography: Full-time state legislator and lifelong resident of the 20th Senate District. Former kindergarten and third grade teacher for nearly 10 years in the Chicago Public Schools system. From an immigrant, union family proud of their Puerto Rican culture. Northeastern Illinois University (Bachelor of Education), Member of Health and Wellness Committee, Social Emotional Learning Committee, and Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) in Chicago Public Schools.
