Biography: Adam Niemerg is a Teutopolis native and resides in rural Dieterich in Effingham County with his wife, Trina, and two small children. They are members of the St. Isidore Catholic Parish and they attend St. Aloysius Church. The oldest of five children, Adam worked for his family’s small business growing up. Adam graduated from Teutopolis High School in 2002. Adam attended Lake Land College and then received his bachelor’s degree in history from Eastern Illinois University. Adam was a senior claims adjuster with 12 years of experience for Country Financial. Adam Niemerg is pro-life and he will protect Second Amendment rights. Adam is a fiscal conservative focused on reducing taxes and fighting for limited government and pension reform to spur the growth of business and jobs in his district and all of Illinois. In addition to his church support, Adam is a member of the Farm Bureau. Adam was sworn in on January 13, 2021 and represents all or portions of Clay, Edwards, Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence, Richland, Wabash Wayne and White Counties.
