    AN ACT concerning government.
  
 
    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
represented in the General Assembly:
  
 
 
    Section 5. The State Designations Act is amended  by adding 
Section 43 as follows:
 
    (5 ILCS 460/43 new)
    Sec. 43. State wildflower. The plant Asclepias spp, 
commonly known as "Milkweed",   is designated  the official State 
wildflower of the State of Illinois.
 
 
    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
