Senate Sponsors: PHILIP. Short description: PEN CD-IMRF-ELECTED OFFICIALS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the IMRF Article of the Illinois Pension Code. In the provisions allowing certain annuitants to hold elective office without participating in the Fund or losing their retirement annuities, allows a separate election for each term of office. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately. PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission) The fiscal impact of SB 2070 cannot be determined, as the number of elected officials who would change the election to participate in IMRF (based on terms in office) is unknown.
