Short description: USE & OCC TAX-EXEMPT BROADBAND Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Use Tax Act, the Service Use Tax Act, the Service Occupation Tax Act, and the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act. Exempts from the tax imposed by these Acts, beginning on January 1, 2003, broadband equipment and its component parts purchased by a broadband provider. Provides that the sunset provisions do not apply to the exemption. Effective immediately.
