Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Revises certain provisions of
the offense of child abduction. Provides that it is child

communicate with a child under 16 years of age, if the adult knows or
reasonably should have known that the child is under 16 years of age,
for the purpose of persuading and luring, or transporting or
attempting to persuade and lure or transport that child away from the
child's home or any location known by the child's parent, legal

dwelling place without the consent of the parent or lawful custodian
of the child for other than a lawful purpose. Effective immediately.
