House Sponsors: RYDER-FEIGENHOLTZ-MAUTINO Short description: PUB AID-DEPT HEALTH FINANCE Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois and the Department of Public Aid Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Changes the name of the Department of Public Aid to the Department of Health Finance. Provides that the name change does not affect the Department's status. Effective July 1, 2001. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Changes the effective date to January 1, 2002. FISCAL NOTE (Department of Public Aid) The fiscal impact will be minimal. The cost of changes will be absorbed by the Department, changes will be made pragmatically, with maintenance. The cost of changing the name on the build- ings is estimated at approximately $10,000.
