IDPH-HEPATITIS C PROGRAM                                                   

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties  Law  of      
   the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.  Requires the Department of      
   Public  Health  to  develop a program to heighten public awareness and      
   enhance public knowledge  and  understanding  of  hepatitis  C.   Also      
   requires  the Department to develop a prevention program to reduce the      
   risk of transmission of hepatitis C.
