Short description: PRAIRIE STATE ACHIEVEMENT EXAM Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Resolves that the Board of Higher Education, the State Board of Education, and the Illinois Community College Board prepare recommendations to increase student knowledge and skills in accordance with State learning standards, to improve student performance on the Prairie State Achievement Examination, and to better prepare its high school students to meet the demands of the workplace and the rigors of higher education. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1 Removes a Whereas clause describing the high school core curri- culum.
