House Sponsors: MARQUARDT. Senate Sponsors: JACOBS Short description: LOCGOV-COMPENSATION Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Public Graveyards Act. Provides that cemetery trustees may be paid compensation, not to exceed $2,000 (instead of $500) per year. Amends the Township Code. Provides that members of a multi-township board may receive additional pay for their services in an amount not to exceed $50 per day or $2,000 per year (instead of $25 per day). Provides that the community building board of managers may be paid a salary not to exceed $50 (instead of $25) per day or $2,000 (instead of $500) per year. Effective immediately. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Provides that, if the cemetery trustees also act as the cemetery caretakers, then the cemetery trustees may be paid compensation not to exceed $5,000 per year, as may be fixed by the Township Board of Trustees.
