Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Illinois Act on the Aging by providing that vendors of
homemaker, chore, and housekeeping services shall receive a rate
increase of $1.37 per hour. Effective July 1, 2002.
          FISCAL NOTE (Department on Aging)
There will be an estimated 17.6 million units of homemaker
service provided during FY03. Increasing the homemaker vendor
rate from $10.56 per hour to $11.93 per hour would initially
cost the Department an estimated $24,112,000 (17.6 million
homemaker service units x $1.37 per unit).
