House Sponsors: MAY. Short description: CRIM CD-SNIPER WEAPONS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Prohibits the sale, transfer, offer for sale, or gift to and possession by a person under 21 years of age of a 50 caliber sniper weapon, 50 caliber ammunition, or 50 caliber conversion kit. Also prohibits the sale, offer for sale, or gift of these weapons, ammunition, or kits by a person other than a federally licensed firearm dealer. Provides that a violation is a Class 1 felony.
