Creates the Disclosure of Ingredients in Tobacco Products Act.
Provides that beginning in the year 2003, any manufacturer of
cigarettes, snuff, or chewing tobacco shall provide the Department of
Public Health with an annual report that lists specified information
for each brand of product sold.
FISCAL NOTE (Department of Public Health)
To adequately set standards and make available to the public
the information which is required by HB 4149, the Department
will need to seek expertise not currently available within the
Department. It is estimated that, a minimum of 3 full-time
employees and clerical support, as well as equipment and soft-
ware will be necessary. Depending on the method utilized by the
Department to make public the annual reports, there would also
be costs for printing or information technology. The total
impact for the Department of Public Health is estimated at
          $275,000.
