House Sponsors: MITCHELL,BILL. Short description: SWIMMING POOL ACT-ELECTRICAL Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Swimming Pool and Bathing Beach Act. Provides that applicants for licensure of swimming pool facilities shall provide evidence that the swimming pool has ground fault circuit interrupters installed in compliance with the National Electrical Code of 1999 and with any electrical safety rules promulgated by the Department of Public Health. Provides that, as a condition of granting a permit for construction of a swimming pool, the plans and specifications for construction must include the installation of ground fault circuit interrupters. Effective immediately.
