PEN CD-ATTY GEN INVESTIGATORS                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Pension Code to allow investigators  for  the      
   Office  of the Attorney General to transfer credits for up to 12 years      
   of prior service  as  a  police  officer,  sheriff's  law  enforcement      
   employee,  or  municipal  conservator  of the peace from certain other      
   pension funds; requires payment of  the  difference  in  employee  and      
   employer contributions.  Effective immediately.                             
          PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission)                               
          The fiscal impact of HB 2312 cannot be determined, as the            
          amount of service credit that would be transferred is unknown.       
          It is estimated to be minor as the transferred and required          
          employee contributions should offset most of the increase in         
          accrued liability.
