Short description: ELEC CD-VTR GUIDE-JUDGES Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Election Code to provide that, when directed by resolution of the county board, the election authority of any county shall post on its World Wide Web site a county voters' guide for use at an election of judicial candidates. Provides that certain information shall be included in and excluded from the voters guide. Provides that the State Board of Elections shall set fees to be charged for the inclusion of material in the voters' guide. Contains other provisions concerning the production of a county voters' guide. FISCAL NOTE (State Board of Elections) HB 1770 would have minimal fiscal impact on the operations of the State Board of Elections. Any implementation costs can be absorbed within the Board's regular operating budget.
