COUNTY GOVERNMENT-TECH                                                     

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Counties Code.  Makes technical changes in  a  Section      
   concerning regular board meetings.                                          
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
        Adds an immediate effective date.                                      
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 3.                                                
          Deletes reference to:                                                
          55 ILCS 5/2-1001                                                     
          Adds reference to:                                                   
          55 ILCS 5/5-38015 new                                                
          75 ILCS 5/1-10 new                                                   
          75 ILCS 10/10.1 new                                                  
          75 ILCS 16/30-110 new                                                
          75 ILCS 20/1.5 new                                                   
          75 ILCS 40/4.5 new                                                   
          75 ILCS 60/1.5 new                                                   
          75 ILCS 65/3b new                                                    
        Deletes everything. Amends the Counties Code, the Illinois  Local      
   Library  Act,  the  Illinois  Library  System  Act, the Public Library      
   District Act of 1991, the Chicago  Public  Library  Act,  the  Village      
   Library Act, the Library Incorporation Act, and the Libraries in Parks      
   Act.  Requires  a  public  library  that allows minors to use a public      
   access computer to either (i) equip the computer  with  software  that      
   seeks  to  prevent  minors  from  gaining  access  to  explicit sexual      
   materials or  (ii)  obtain  Internet  connectivity  from  an  Internet      
   service  provider  that  provides  filter  services to limit access to      
   explicit sexual materials.
