Short description: 
CRIM CD-EXTENDED LIMITATIONS                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Criminal Code of 1961 relating to the 10-year extended      
   statute of limitations for the offenses of  criminal  sexual  assault,      
   aggravated  criminal sexual assault, predatory criminal sexual assault      
   of a child, and aggravated  criminal  sexual  abuse.   Eliminates  the      
   requirement   that  a  victim  who was at least 18 years of age at the      
   time of the  offense  must  report  the  offense  to  law  enforcement      
   authorities  within  2  years  after  the  commission  of the offense.      
   Eliminates the requirement that when the victim was under 18 years  of      
   age  at  the  time  of  the  offense and the offender was not a family      
   member,  the  victim  must  report  the  offense  to  law  enforcement      
   authorities before he or she  attains  21  years  of  age.   Effective      
   immediately.
