PENCD-SERS-FORENSIC EMPLOYEES                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the State Employee Article of the Illinois  Pension  Code.      
   Provides the alternative (State police) retirement formula for persons      
   employed  by  the  Department  of State Police in its crime laboratory      
   system.  Effective immediately.                                             
          PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission)                               
          The fiscal impact of HB 517 cannot be calculated, as the number      
          of forensic service employees affected cannot be determined.         
          However, it is estimated that as many as 480 employees could be      
          included.
