Creates a faculty permit that authorizes the holder to practice medicine only within the medical school itself and any affiliated institution in which the permit holder is providing instruction as part of the medical school's educational program and for which the medical school has assumed direct responsibility. Provides qualifications and application guidelines for a faculty permit. Effective immediately. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 225 ILCS 60/18.1 new Adds reference to: 225 ILCS 60/18 from Ch. 111, par. 4400-18 Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Requires certain information to establish an applicant's eligibility for a visiting professor permit. Provides that visiting professor permits are valid for no longer than 2 years and establishes requirements that must be met for renewal. Effective immediately.
