Short description: USE-OCC TAX-SUSPEND FOR COAL Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Use Tax Act, the Service Use Tax Act, the Service Occupation Tax Act, and the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act. Beginning on January 1, 2002 and through December 31, 2006, eliminates the State's portion of the tax on coal for use in Illinois. Amends the State Finance Act to adjust the distribution of the tax to account for the elimination of the State's portion of the tax. Effective immediately.
